A dubbed version of Ram Charan in Zanjeer

The director of the movie, Apoorva Lakhia confirmed that Teja's voice was dubbed for the Hindi version

South star Ram Charan is all geared to make his Bollywood debut with Priyanka Chopra in 'Zanjeer'.

Ram Charan Teja - who plays the role of ACP Vijay Khanna, attempted several rounds of dubbing. Despite being good at Hindi, his heavy southern accent got in the way. The director of the movie, Apoorva Lakhia confirmed that Teja's voice was dubbed for the Hindi version.

The makers of the film had got in touch with actor and dubbing artist Rajesh Khattar for a voice test. They later decided not to go with a known face and voice. Khattar confirmed the news, "Yes, I did go for a voice test. But I am not the voice of Ram in the film."

'Zanjeer' also starring Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Mahie Gill and will release on September 6.
