Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh-starrer "Ram Leela" was all set to enjoy a solo release in the coming festive season. Recent developments, however, may have tampered the festive celebrations for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Kangna Ranaut-starrer "Rajjo" all set to clash with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's musical drama.
"Makers of "Rajjo", MH Shah and UA Karande, were waiting for an apt time to bring the film. Though Kangna plays a prostitute in the film, it isn't a grim affair by any means. Instead, it is a colourful affair as well and joins "Ram Leela" in painting the screen red. Pun intended," a source informed.
Vishwas Patil's Rajjo is slated for release on 15th November - the same day as the release of "Ram Leela".
"To arrive a week or two later was explored as well. After all, "Ram Leela" could well be a formidable opponent for anyone. However, once the final cut of "Rajjo" was seen by people concerned, there was an added sense of confidence. It was felt that the originally decided date would be just right to set the stage for 'Rajjo' v/s 'Leela'," the source added.
With Kangna as well as Deepika playing title roles in their respective films, there would be an unlikely clash in the offering.
