I want to give a nice flavour of Bebo to audience: Kareena

After a sensitive role in "Talaash", Kareena Kapoorsays she is ready to give the audience a taste of the real "Bebo" and is looking forward to a light romantic comedy in which she can play her usual effervescent self.
"I want to experiment with various genres and not just do monotonous roles. Taalash was one of my most sensitive performances, but now my next will be a rom-com. I want to give a nice flavour of Beboto the audience post-Talaash," Kareena, who is nicknamed Bebo, told IANS in an interview.
The 32-year-old, who wed actor Saif Ali Khan in October, is ready to get back to full on work in the new year. She will begin work on a Karan Johar production opposite Imran Khan in January.
"I love being part of Dharma Productions' projects. There is some young and new talent coming from this production. My film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu was directed by Shakun Batra, who is just 25.
"I am looking forward to do this new film (to be directed by Punit Malhotra of I Hate Luv Storys fame)," said Kareena, who describes the film as a "super fun yet poignant" love story.
The first schedule of the movie will start in Bangalore.
Kareena is especially happy about doing such a film because she doesn't have a suspense drama like Talaash on her mind right now.
"I don't think I will take a suspense drama for a while. It was a brave decision to make a film like Talaash," she said.
Kareena says she is thankful to the audience that accepted this genre.
"When we were making the film, my only concern was the audience should accept this genre and we have won the battle. My year began with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, in which I played a very modern girl, and the year ended with a very sensitive performance in Talaash."
She only wants to continue doing "good projects and show different shades" of herself through movies.
"Numbers don't really matter to me, what matters is good performance," said the actress, who also features in the peppy and saucy item number Fevicol se in the movie Dabangg 2.
The song has won her rave reviews, and director-producer Arbaaz Khan says Kareena has done a "superb job in it".

Kareena Kapoor's mantra - Mani, Mani, Mani

Actress Kareena Kapoor holds filmmaker Mani Ratnam in high esteem.

The gorgeous damsel has been an ardent fan of Mani Ratnam for a long time now. She claims to have seen all of Ratnam's movies. She has watched Roja and Bombay many times.

Her dream to work with the talented filmmaker came true two years ago with Yuva in which she was paired with Vivek Oberoi. Kareena says Ratnam is a filmmaker who extracts the best out of his actors.

To drive her point home, she is full of appreciation for Abhishek Bachchan 's performance in Ratnam's latest flick Guru . Kareena says she was bowled over by the movie and deeply moved by Abhi's performance in it.

And she is extremely excited about the fact that she will be the leading lady in Ratnam's next movie Lajjo .

The film will also have Kareena pairing with Aamir Khan for the first time.

However, Kareena will have to hold her excitement for many months because the shooting of 'Lajjo' will begin by the end of 2007.

Kareena, who has not shot for any movie for a long time now (the song in Don was her last assignment), will soon return to action. She is said to be reading a couple of new scripts and might sign a movie or two in the coming days.

Aamir Khan grants Katrina Kaif’s Christmas wish!

All thanks to Aamir Khan, actress Katrina Kaif can enjoy her Christmas with the family.

After the success of Talaash, actor Aamir Khan is so elated that he has decided to go slow in his other project Dhoom 3. He has even requested the producers to delay the schedule so that Katrina Kaif, the movie’s actress, can take a Christmas break.

As a source tells a tabloid, “Aamir has been in a remarkable mood. In fact, it was during a casual conversation with the rest of the cast that Katrina mentioned her wish to spend Christmas and New Year with her family. Initially, the unit was to shoot throughout the last week of the year. Aamir requested the production house to delay the shoot so that Kat could take her holiday.”

Thus Yashraj Films paid heed to what Aamir said, and duly obliged. As for now, Katrina is in Mumbai, training in fight sequences for Dhoom 3, and then will move to London to ring in Christmas with family.

The movie’s next schedule starts only from February, 2013. Earlier, the crew shot for some high-octane stunts with Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in Chicago.

Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor Seek Bappa’s Blessings

Pretty-in-pink Kareena and Madhur did a darshan and prayed for the success of their film, gathering quite a crowd in the process. I guess they’re really going the celestial route after launching the music at Siddhivinayak earlier this month.
