Ajay Devgn Or Arjun Rampal To Play Asaram Babu In Next Prakash Jha Film SATSANG

With his list of socio-political films, Prakash Jha seems to have taken up the responsibility of showcasing social issues affecting the masses on the silver screen.

His films have, time and again, ignited social issues on screen whether it was "Gangaajal" (2003), "Apaharan" (2005), "Raajneeti" (2010), "Aarakshan" (2011), "Chakravyuh" (2012), or the most recent flick "Satyagraha".

Barely were the posters of Satyagraha down that the director indicated the subject of his next movie. He talked about "Satsang", which would be the topic of his next film and sources close to the director revealed that he would now make "masala movies yet focus on social issues", which will form the background of his movies. Satsang is said to be inspired by Asaram Bapu's life.

When we asked Jha about his fascination with social issues, he replied "I am interested in whatever development or movement that takes place in society."

Now, we wonder who will play Asaram for Prakash Jha's "Satsang"?

Going by the statistics and figuring out the actors who've worked under Prakash Jha's camp, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Ajay Devgn seem to be his favourite actors.

If we pick up his last four productions, we find that Manoj Bajpai has been a regular in his films that include "Chakravyuh","Rajneeti", "Aarakshan"and "Satyagraha". And out of these four, Arjun Rampal featured in three.Furthermore, if we travel back in time before "Raajneeti", Prakash Jha made two consecutive films "Apaharan" and "Gangaajal" starring Ajay Devgn in the leadrole.

Media spoke to Jha and asked if these actors are his favourite and he replied,"Nahi, favourite toh sabhi hain, yeh bhi ache actors hain. The kind of characters I really think, these actors fit into those roles. They are very good human beings and it is always nice to work with them."

Chances of Manoj Bajpayee seem more since he has been playing negative roles in three out of the four movies he has done with Jha. Reportedly, Manoj Bajpayee has had a tiff with Prakash Jha and has even said he will not work with Jha again. So will Ajay or Arjun fit the character of Asaram Bapu or Jha will bring in a new face?
