Here’s an interesting story about how Happy New Year’s Sonu Sood got the role in the film. The actor used his own set of strategies to bag the role in the flick.
When Sonu came to know that Farah is searching for the actor to star in 'Happy New Year', he came up to her and reminded her about an old forgotten promise.
Farah
had once promised Sonu, a role in SRK's film at a reality show, to
which he had jokingly asked her to sign on a blank paper. Sonu reminded
Farah of her promise, which Farah was reluctant to fulfill, as the role
she was looking at demanded an athletic body, and not a lean one that Sonu had at that time.
Sonu took it as a challenge and hit the gym with full conviction. He also kept posting pictures of the progress of his physique to Farah.
Impressed, Farah and SRK decided to take Sonu on board ‘Happy New Year’, making it a happy ending for Sonu.
