Late director Yash Chopra’s wife, Pamela, has decided to celebrate the legend’s birthday each year in a grand way. The 27th of this month will mark the first instance of the initiative taken up by Pamela.

Yash Raj Films has got the intimation and is all set to organize the event as per Pamelaji’s inputs. A close source revealed - “It’s entirely Pamelaji’s idea. She was keen that Yashji’s birthday becomes an important day for everyone at the production house. So as far as we know, every year, there will be some kind of activity on his birthday — it could be a charity event, a film announcement or another special event — in his memory.”

Pamela Chopra confirmed the news, “Yes, we are looking to celebrate every birthday of Yash in a meaningful manner. This year, we are in the process of putting together something really big.”

The details about the event are being kept under wraps on the behest of Pam aunty (as she is fondly known). The filmmaker breathed his last in October last year, close to his last release, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
