Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, former lovers and popular onscreen pair of hits like "Band Baaja Baarat" and "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl", may have a reel life reunion soon.
Sources tell that the two have been roped in by Zoya Akhtar for her next film. Their relationship is rumoured to have met a not so amicable end but the actors have agreed to be a part of the project despite their awry equation.
Priyanka Chopra will play Ranveer's Singh sister and Anushka, his love interest in the film. When Zoya starting writing the script she was looking to cast Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor as siblings in the film but it didn't work out.
Earlier reports had claimed that Kareena opted out after Ranveer replaced Ranbir in the film.
The casting of Anushka and Ranveer seems to be part of the latest trend in the film industry as bringing together former flames seems to set the cash registers ringing.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika in "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani", Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in "Ek Tha Tiger", are two such casting coups.
