Detailed Analysis:

Director Ritesh Batra irected this gem which created waves all over international festivals. Supported by big names in India i.e. U TV, Dharma, Anurag Kashyap and DAR Motion Pictures, film gets a good release today and hopefully should be lapped up by urban audience.

As film promises through the promo, it depicts a soulful warm tale of two individuals who fall in love through a lunch box. That lunchbox becomes a mode of communication and food becomes a synonym of expression/emotion. Then there are colleagues of Irrfan and surrounding of Nimrat. What makes this story special is the simplicity and real touching unfolding of human emotions in most dramatic way.

Performance wise Irrfan stands tall and delivers one more power packed performance. He speaks through his eyes, watch his sparkling eyes in a scene when he is getting ready to meet her first time. Nimrat Kaur will surely sweep all debutant awards or few critics awards for her outstanding natural act. She is revelation and her dialogue delivery takes the cake. Nawazuddin is the silver lining of the film and adds sparks to the proceedings. Supporting cast including Denzil Smith, Lillette Dubey and Nakul Vaid add up well.

Writing is the real hero of the film as Ritesh Batra gives us sweet and simple screenplay laden with emotions. He reminds you that positive simplistic writing of Hrishikesh Mukherjee from 60's and 70's. As a director too, this is a big victory for Ritesh, He keeps the proceedings crisp and simple but never compromises on drama. He is bound to win several awards next year.

Overall this should get audience in big numbers in urban centers and after a decent start on Friday, film will get good jumps over the weekend. Film will create some ripples at box office.
