of many, John Abraham is going to be seen playing a Tapori in his
upcoming film, which is said to closely resemble Aamir Khan’s Tapori
look in the 1995 romantic comedy drama ‘Rangeela’.
John
recently revealed at an event: "It's a very different character in
‘Welcome Back’. I can say it's somewhere close to Aamir Khan's look in
Rangeela. I am having a lot of fun shooting. I hope the audience will be shocked to see me in a different look."
John has been experimenting with different genres off-late, but as per him, action has been his first love. John’s brand value has taken a giant leap with ‘Madras Cafe’s performance at the box office recently.
Asked about his look in ‘Welcome Back’, John revealed -"It is a completely different film and role, but the template is Aamir Khan in 'Rangeela'."
Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, ‘Welcome Back’ is a sequel to the 2007 comedy ‘Welcome’, and features an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor reprising their roles of Uday Shankar Shetty and Majnu Bhai respectively from the prequel.
The filming for ‘Welcome Back’ began in August 2013.
