As per the news coming in, the Bombay High Court has refused to grant interim stay on the release of the remake of 1973 blockbuster. The producers of the remake had agreed to pay the amount if the court asked them to do so.

Counsel for Salim-Javed have now approached a Division Bench challenging Monday's decision.

One of the producers of the ‘Zanjeer’ remake, Puneet Prakash Mehra had earlier revealed - "We have remained quiet till now simply because Salim saab and Javed saab are veterans. But the way they have been going on about my father is unjustified. They have said that our production house minted money from ‘Zanjeer’. As if my father had no role to play in the film's success. They made it look like we made money and declined to pay them their due."

The first look and theatrical trailer of ‘Zanjeer’ remake was released on 4 July 2013. The Priyanka Chopra – Ram Charan starrer flick is all set to release on September 6, 2013.
