The Punjab and Haryana High Court has stayed the release of Bollywood movie Grand Masti in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on the claim that it has vulgar language and dialogues.
The lawyer had petitioned that the movie promos were degrading to women, and that the content of the film was indecent.
Petitioner, Dinesh Chadha further commented - "All the parties ( Maruti international films, Central Board of Film Certification
and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting )have been asked to file a
reply by September 20. The court has stayed the screening of the film
in Punjab , Haryana and Chandigarh,"
The
movie starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and
Manjari Fadnis is a sequel of the film, Masti, which was released in
2004.
