Senior Bollywood actors are actually having the time of their lives currently. Meaty parts are being specially written for yesteryear heroes, be it Amitabh Bachchan or Rishi Kapoor. The latest we hear is that the National Award winning actor Mithun Chakraborty or 'dada', as he is affectionately referred to, will play the 60s' don, Varadarajan Muniswami Mudaliar.

For the uninitiated, Varadarajan aka Vardhabhai was one of the most influential personalities in the 60s, along with Haji Mastan and Karim Lala. "This is another powerful character after Nanaji in Guru (2007)," says Mithun. The film will be a bilingual, which will release in Tamil and Telugu.

In the past, Mani Ratnam got Kamal Haasan to reprise the role of Vardhabhai in 'Nayakan' (1987) and when Feroz Khan remade the same film in Hindi as 'Dayavan' (1988), he got Vinod Khanna to play the 60s' don.
