MADRAS CAFE Had Decent 2nd Weekend
"Madras Cafe" started
with good numbers over 1st weekend as film jumped over Saturday and
Sunday. But film failed to perform on weekdays though film was steady
but on lower levels as there was no appreciation outside metros.Even 2nd
weekend was the same.
Film collected 1.60 cr nett on 2nd Friday followed by 2.25 cr nett on 2nd Saturday and 3.25 cr nett on 2nd Sunday taking total to 40.90 cr nett plus. Film will finish with 46 cr nett after 2nd week. Film should touch 49-50 cr nett at end of run which is good but not enough.
Film might end up around 50 cr nett lifetime which is decent for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will have share of 25 cr domestic share and 3 cr from overseas adding up to 40 cr including satellite rights. On theatrical level it is below average and will not recover its cost.
