"Chennai Express" always expected to do big business in India but was never expected to be humongous overseas going by the genre and director Rohit Shetty. Film is now 3rd biggest grosser overseas at 113 cr.

Film crossed landmark numbers in UK and became 3rd biggest grosser in UK ever. Film managed to surpass big figure of "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" which in itself an achievement. Film is few non romantic film in top over there in the list.

What is even more interesting is that all top 5 films in the list are Shahrukh starrer and out of top 10, as much as 9 films are SRK starrer. This is some dominance which never happened and will never be repeated anytime soon.
