Abhishek Kapoor dons writer’s hat for 'ROCK ON 2'

As per reports, Abhishek Kapoor would be donning the writer’s hat for the second installment of the musical hit

 

It was earlier reported that Abhishek Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar were teaming up again for the sequel of ‘Rock On’. The recent developments, however, suggest that Abhishek would be donning the writer’s hat for the second installment of the musical hit.

The reason cited for Abhishek’s change in role is his busy schedule of directing other projects. Reports suggest that Farhan might bring in a younger director to direct the sequel.

A close source revealed – "Abhishek will continue being part of the project as a writer of the film. However, Farhan has to now look for an apt director who can do justice to the sequel. He has already spoken internally to his team about this decision. A formal announcement will be made soon,"

Rumours suggest that like the original, the sequel too will be based on rock music and will revolve around the bonding of the band mates.
