ZANJEER Lags Behind But SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE Packs A Solid Punch
After few disappointments in month of August, box office is dried up after record breaking success of "Chennai Express". This week two releases try in their luck at box office. While "Zanjeer" is targeted for single screen audience and on contrary SDR is for urban and youthful audience.
As we predicted, "Zanjeer" has taken real slow start
at box office with around 20-25% occupancy all India. Despite being
bigger release, film is showing signs of struggle since morning. Film
did not show any sign of revival
and it looks tough task at box office. As per early estimates, film
should collect approximately 3.5- 4 cr nett on day one.
"Shuddh
Desi Romance" was released in a much smaller scale but opened to better
response of 35%. Film was strong all over and witnessed jump from
evening onwards and looks to score big at box office in coming days. As
per early estimates, film should collect 7.75 cr nett on day one which
is simply outstanding considering cast and release.
