week ago, Neetu Chandra was summoned by Ram Gopal Varma to his Oshiwara
office to discuss his next magnum opus - a film inspired by the life
and times of Bruce Lee with a female lead stepping into the master's high-kicking shoes.
The actress, who is a Black Belt holder in Taekwondo was excited about the chance to show off her martial skills and prepared to pitch for the role.
Neetu who had worked with RGV in his 2010 dud Rann landed up at RGV's factory with high hopes and the director regaled her with his grand plans for the action flick for an hour.
A source close to RGV told Mirror, "The meeting lasted for over an hour, and throughout the whole time, Ramu animatedly described his ambitious plans for the film, the nature of the plot, and the way he's planning to approach the highoctane action scenes with his female lead."
Then
the meeting took an unexpected twist for Neetu. RGV showed her some
footage which he had already shot with a new actress and wanted her to train the newcomer in Taekwondo. After making some polite conversation, the stunned actress promptly slipped out, without committing to help Ramu in any manner.
When contacted, Neetu confirmed the story. She said: "Why will I train some other actress and not do it myself?" RGV said: "I'm busy with "Satya 2". Will cast for the Bruce Lee film later."
