Imran and Ekta did not part amicably over Milan Talkies

Imran and Ekta had too many differences about the promotional strategies of ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Doobara’

Tigmanshu Dhulia's ‘Milan Talkies’ recently went through a major change when Shahid Kapoor replaced Imran Khan for the lead role.

Sources had earlier revealed that Imran was keen to work in Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming film that will portray him as a Gujarati superhero, and hence opted out of Ekta’s project.

However, the news coming in now suggests that Imran and Ekta had too many differences about the promotional strategies of ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Doobara’. While Ekta Kapoor wanted to go in with an aggressive strategy for the promotion of ‘OUATIMD’, Imran resisted the methods of Balaji Motion Pictures.  Eventually, Akshay stepped in and convinced Imran to follow the promotion mechanism drawn by Balaji.

News from the industry tells us that Imran’s stern stand on the promotions of ‘OUATIMD’ led to the fallout as he was replaced by Shahid for ‘Milan Talkies’.

Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, took a diplomatic stand as he commented: "Tigmanshu is one of the best directors in the industry today and Milan Talkies is keenly awaited. Shahid expressed his interest in working with us and most importantly, we feel that he is the right choice for the film."

With Shahid coming in however, ‘Milan Talkies’ is all set to excite the audiences as they would get to see the ex-flames  Shahid & Priyanka together on screen again.

‘Milan Talkies’ is produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and is slated to go on floor in October.
