"Madras Cafe" released yesterday across 1050 screens and with the help from decent reviews coupled with good word of mouth, film managed to post good day one collections at box office.

Film started slowly across the country but grew rapidly in the evening especially in prime multiplexes. There were ample housefull shows all over which means that film has good weekend on card.

Film has nice appeal that is why weekend biz is very crucial and it has only one week to score as "Satyagraha" will take over from next Friday. Film has ability to become a sleeper hit like earlier venture of John & Shoojit "Vicky Donor".

Film collected 4.50 cr nett on day one as we predicted yesterday afternoon and now good weekend of around 15-18 cr nett on the cards. Looks like once again content will succeed at the box office!
