"Chennai Express" looks unstoppable and already crashed almost every record possible. Film crossed two huge milestones today at domestic box office and overseas.
Film was extraordinary in overseas and added 11 more cr on weekdays in 2nd week. Film has collected 100-100.50 cr in 2 weeks which is not only record but a tough one to break anytime soon.
Film did exceptionally well today at many places in India. CP, Delhi, Bihar, Bangalore and Mumbai were close to 40% overall and few cinemas recorded close to 70% occupancy which is unbelievable for a film in 2nd week.
As per early estimates, film should collect 3.25 cr nett today which means film has collected close to 44 cr nett in 2nd week which is 3rd highest ever 2nd week only behind 46 cr nett of YJHD and 56 cr nett of "3 Idiots". Thus film has collected 200 cr nett plus in 2 weeks straight and now only 2nd film to do so.
Film will cross 202.45 cr nett of "3 Idiots" tomorrow and that is a historical moment at box office for any film that too in 15 days. Film has also crossed 370 cr gross which means 400 cr gross is possible. It seems that this express will stay in cinemas for some more time.
