Naseer and Randeep hesitant to promote John Day

Naseer and Randeep feel cheated and are now hesitant to promote the film

Once you sign a film, you become attached to it, feel a part of it and expect to know the fine details of the film. However, Naseerudin Shah and Randeep Hooda are distancing themselves from their upcoming film. 

Here is why - For the upcoming thriller ‘John Day’, director Ahishor Solomon approached producer Anjum Rizvi and Randeep Hooda with his film's screenplay. Throughout the shoot, Solomon never mentioned that his film is lifted from a Spanish thriller, ‘Box 507’.

After watching the trailer of the movie, a film director mentioned the similarities between ‘John Day’ and ‘Box 507’, which shocked Randeep Hooda. When he confronted the film's director, he defended himself saying, "It is only loosely inspired." Naseer and Randeep feel cheated and are now hesitant to promote the film.
