Release Size:
Film
had all sort of points to prove - biggest film franchise in India,
world class VFX, biggest ever release in 4000 screens, highest ever
grosser beating ''Chennai Express'' and establishing stardom of Hrithik
Roshan.
Film
will release across 3800-4000 screens and will have good 14 days run at
box office until ''Ram-Leela'' arrives on 15th November. This means
that the film has bright chances to beat 200 cr nett barrier and can
beat all previous records.
The Film And Content:
Film’s music has received very average response and liked by only few. One needs to keep in mind
that its not some typical masala or romantic film which needs a hit
music but that would had added the desired push at box office especially
in masses.
For last few years we witnessed that its deliverance of content against what promised has proved to be the crucial factor. This has always been the key of
Rakesh Roshan''s success. Few might criticize him or mock him for bad
music or not so great effects but he has played to gallery with
stupendous success for decades now.
The Cast:
Hrithik
Roshan is at his best when he is under the guidance of his father and
after delivering 3 back to back blockbusters, it looks certain to cross
150 cr nett even if content does not meet the expectations. Priyanka and
Kangana will add the glam quotient but it will be Vivek Oberoi who
should steal the thunder as main antagonist.
The Numbers:
Now
we know that ''Krrish 3'' will release on 1st Novemberwhich means day
one record might be broken or might be missed by a whisker. And after
that next two days might be
affected by Diwali puja so first 3 day weekend record looks tough but
following that film is certain to break 1st week record by some margin.
On one hand, this will give film a balanced start at box office but on the other hand it will reduce few crores out of first 3 days. But if content gets average response then this strategy of releasing before puja might prove costly.
As
far as overseas box office is concerned, film will do well without
doubt due to presence of FX and super hero factor but again film will
depend heavily on word of mouth.
We
have compiled this prediction considering the information that we got
from leading distributors and exhibitors about film''''s prospects and agreements
about screen size. But yes bottom line, there is a feeling in trade as
well as among experts - either this will be a huge blockbuster or might
fall well short, will not be an average affair and yes we will go with
