Boss Movie Preview

Film will take super start at box office due to holiday aided 5 day weekend. Film should do well in mass centers and the big Monday will decide the fate of the film.

Director:

Starring:
Anthony D Souza

Akshay Kumar, Ronit Roy, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari

Plot:

Veteran actor Danny Denzongpa is all set to enthrall the audiences with his larger than life persona in Anthony D Souza's ‘Boss’. Akshay Kumar plays the BOSS in the film and Danny would be playing the role of BIG BOSS which bears uncanny similarities to the popular Robin Hood persona! Usually, we have seen Danny playing negative characters, but for this film his role is quite different and will be have a positive person who extends his generous hand for the good of the society.

Film is apparently a remake of Malayalam movie "Pokkiri Raja" starring Mammotty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran.

Cast & Characters:

  • Akshay Kumar as Boss
  • Mithun Chakraborty as Satyakant Shastri
  • Shiv Pandit as Shiv
  • Ronit Roy as Ayushman Mathur
  • Aditi Rao Hydari as Ankita
  • Danny Denzongpa
  • Johnny Lever as Zorawar
  • Parikshit Sahni
  • Sonakshi Sinha
  • Prabhudeva in a Special Appearance in song "Hum Na Tode"
  • Honey Singh in a Special Appearance in song "Party All Night"

Music:

The album is above average as far as musical value is concerned.
"Boss (title song)" is the standout song of the album followed by "Party All Night" and "Har Kisi Ko". The album soars as long as the composers stick to their natural strengths and fails as soon as they get too ambitious with "Hum Na Tode" and "Pitah Se Hai Naam Tera". This is a multi-composer album (in keeping with the latest trend) that offers good variety and a few genuinely good dance numbers. Overall, a safe bet for party lovers.

Rating:
3/5

Predictions:

Critical Response

Film will receive good to average reviews as such high on massy content films do not go down very well with critics. Nevertheless such films depend heavily on word of mouth and entertainment quotient.

Average Critic Ratings Predicted
2.5/5

Final Verdict:

Film will take super start at box office due to holiday aided 5 day weekend. Film should do well in mass centers and the big Monday will decide the fate of the film. But as of now, film looks like a very bright prospect for Akshay Kumar who is ready to stamp his authority once again at box office after not so great 2013.

This looks to do some mammoth business at box office!
