Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a daring new role in one of his forthcoming films. The actor has agreed to feature in Rahul Dholakia's yet untitled film set in Gujarat that deals with liquor prohibition.

Rahul who directed the critically acclaimed ‘Parzania’ took the script to SRK who immediately loved the idea and asked his friends at Excel, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to produce it.

As per sources the film deals with a subject set in Gujarat and talks about the rampant prohibition policy in the state which is responsible for smuggling across the border. SRK plays the lead role of a small time smuggler who then goes on to be a big liquor baron.

Farhan Akhtar has also confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan is not going to play a Gujarati don in his next project. Farhan Akhtar commented - "Don't call him a Gujarati don! He (Shahrukh Khan) is not playing any Gujarati don. The film is based in Gujarat and his character is based in Gujarat. He is playing a gangster in the film.”
