On the other hand, Akshay Kumar had few hiccups in OUATIMD and he needs a big hit to prove his superstar status. “Boss” looks promising due to popular music and promising promo. This is a typical Akshay Kumar film which looks to stamp authority at box office. Also the film has big 5 day weekend which will ensure big numbers over the weekend and if the content gets acceptance, then sky is the limit.
Film should be able to garner at least 70 cr nett over the weekend and 90-100 cr nett in Week 1 in order to come out as winner. When Shah Rukh is clocking the figures in excess of 200 cr and Aamir and Salman too have figues close to 200 cr nett, Akshay Kumar desperately needs a film in excess of 175 cr nett. This is it!
