Monica Dogra best known for her role in ‘Dhobi Ghat’ along with Aamir Khan will now be seen in a crime thriller titled ‘Mastaan’.
She will be sharing screen space with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, and will be playing his youngest son Vivaan Shah's love interest in the film.
The film is set against the backdrop of drug-trafficking in Mumbai showcasing regular people who are doing unlawful activities.
Monica said: "I got this film, thanks to few friends. The director, Rocky Khanna, was a roommate of singer Mohit Chauhan who I have worked with on a lot of songs. Rocky had seen Dhobi Ghat and was quite eager to work with me."
‘Mastaan’ is directed by Rocky Khanna and is slated to go on floors this month.
