Lifetime Business & Economics Of EK PAHELI LEELA

Movie Review SABKI BAJEGI BAND Is Immature And Offensive

Film released today and should release across 100 screens. Film had no chances at box office as its a film with very niche appeal and negative reviews will kill its chances further. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.

These days making a film has beocme easier especially the ones made with hand held camera in order to make it look like a real solid Indie film. 'Sabki Bajegi Band' is one such film produced and directed by individuals from Bollywood TRADE/media.

The film tells tale of few bunch of unbelievable losers and moron at a party where they use every abusive word possible for cliches in Bollywood films, makes fun of stars/directors and above all has no sense whatsoever with in their conversation. An aspiring filmmaker requests his group of friends to go on camera and answer some personal questions — mostly about their sex life, which he intends to compile and turn into a full-fledged film.

Performance wise not a single performer stands out as every actor hams and hams throughout. Even actress like Swara Bhaskar is pathetic, umeet Vyas, Alek Sangal and Shaurya Vyas - all are irritating.

Film has cliche premise and screenplay lacks any muscle. Film has offensive dialogues for no reason whatsover. Film has irritating background score. Art department is nonexistent and editing is poor so is camerawork .

Director Anirudh Chawla fails in bringing out some kind of comedy and basic etiquette of direction as he has written real poor screenplay. Film is bad and lack of events make it a tiring watch.

‪#‎BOGallery‬ EXCLUSIVE Movie Review: ‪#‎GabbarIsBack‬ Is A Hard Hitting Social Entertainer - ‪#‎AkshayKumar‬ ‪#‎ShrutiHaasan‬

                                              GABBAR IS BACK
                                              Wednesday 29 April 09:37 0 COMMENTS
                                              Release Date : 5/1/2015 12:00:00 AM
                                              Director : Krish
                                              Genre : Action

Detailed Analysis:

Akshay Kumar is darling of masses and heimpressed classes too with films like 'Baby' and 'Holiday'. Now he is back withyet another south remake but yet another hard-hitting social entertainer.

Gabbar (Akshay Kumar) is a terror among corrupt officials of different departments. He picks ten corrupt officials from every department and hangs one most corrupt out of them in public. Gabbar has chosen this way as he lost his pregnant wife during crash of a building which was made by corrupt industrialist Patil (Suman Talwar). Now after 5 years Gabbar is again pitted against Patil. There is sidetrack of lawyer Shruti Haasan which does not add. Then there are bunch of idiotic cops who keep chasing Gabbar until one tough CBI officer along with a constable starts chasing Gabbar. How Gabbar takes his revenge against the system and people who were responsible for the mess forms the rest of the plot.

Performance wise Akshay Kumar is superb with honest act and consistent intensity throughout the film. Watch out for hospital sequence and climax speech! Shruti Haasan looks okay and acts well. Arunoday Singh is good but looks like a man without emotion at places. Sunil Grover is impressive as constable. Kareena Kapoor shines in cameo and Chitrangada looks sultry hot in item number. Suman Grover is good as villain.

Film has very interesting story and screenplay has certain changes in comparison to original. Dialogues deserve special mention for awesome impact. Though film slows down at places due to songs and editing could have been crispier. Film has couple of good songs and all songs are well shot. Camerawork is superb. Film does get overboard at times, for example that dialogue of Patil being a 'brand' or Shruti Haasan's track.

Director Krish makes an interesting film and he makes a confident debut in Bollywood. His storytelling and drama style bring a keep you engage on screen.

Film will release day after tomorrow and should release across 2600 screens. Film has very good chances at box office as there is not much competition. Film will depend on great opening as such films do not jump much after day one.

Movie Review NH 8 Road To Nidhivan Is Well Intentioned Independent Film

View Image in Large Size Film released today and should release across 200 screens. Film had no chances at box office as its a film with very niche appeal. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.

Detailed Analysis:

In today's time when corporate houses have taken over, independent cinema needs its space despite not so great marketing and media space. 'NH 8 Road To Nidhivan' is one such film.

Film depicts story of four youngsters who take assignment to shoot documentary on Nidhivan, a mysterious place near Mathura whihc has many stories about it. Sadly most of the film dweels over trip to Nidhivan than Nidhivan itself and even Nidhivan in climax is only there for brief time. What happens on trip, what is the secret form the rest of the plot.

Performance wise Auroshikha Dey is only decent one rest of the cast is immature and lacks finesse. Raveneet Kaur, Swaroopa Ghosh and Arjun Fauzdar are strictly average.

Film has interesting premise but screenplay lacks pace and events. Film has poor dialogues. Film has interesting background score. Art department is authentic and editing is poor.

Director Munindra Gupta  succeeds in bringing out some kind of tension, horror and thrill but he writes real poor screenplay. Though twist in the end is not bad but lack of events make it a tiring watch for masses.

Film released today and should release across 200 screens. Film had no chances at box office as its a film with very niche appeal. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.

Movie Review DHARAM SANKAT Is Half Baked Social Drama

Film released today and should release across 800 screens. Film had no chances at box office despite there is so much competition from 'Ek Paheli Leela'. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.

First 'Oh My God!' and then 'PK' highlighted the bad sides of religions. Now remake of British hit film 'Infidel' hits the screen with title 'Dharam Sankat Mein'.

Film kicks off with the film's Hindu protagonist Dharampal Trivedi (Paresh Rawal) irritatingly waking up to the 'azaan' from the nearby mosque. Despite all this, he leads a happy and content life with his two obedient children, a loving wife, alongwith a catering business. His immediate neighbor happens to be a Muslim lawyer by the name of Nawab Mehmood Nazeem Ali Shah Khan Bahadur (Annu Kapoor). And it is because of his annoying behavior and religion, that Dharampal hates him to the core. Life goes smooth for Dharampal until his wife reminds him to open the bank locker of his dead mother. And when he opens the locker, his eyes get filled with tears to see all his childhood drawings that his mother had preserved through her life. In addition to this, he also finds a set of his mother's gold bangles and an old affidavit. Life suddenly comes to an absolute standstill for him when he reads the affidavit which states that he was actually adopted by his parents and that he is a Muslim by birth.

Fearing shame and disgrace, he hides this religious truth from his family. At the time of distress, he finds a confidante in Nawab Mehmood Nazeem Ali, who helps him trace his parents. Nawab reveals to Dharampal that while his mother is dead, his aging father is living in a Muslim sanctorum. Upon reaching the sanctorum, Dharampal gets stopped by the character played by a mullah (Murali Sharma). He imposes a 'rule' on Dharampal that in order to meet his Muslim father, he has to inculcate the mannerisms and behavior of a devout Muslim. That's when Nawab Mehmood Nazeem Ali comes to the rescue again and starts training Dharampal in the same. Meanwhile, Dharampal's son Amit, who is a ardent devotee of the 'blue' spiritual guru Neel Anand Baba (Naseeruddin Shah), wants his father to learn proper Hinduism in order to impress his girlfriend's parents as her father is a staunch Hindu. All in all, Dharampal's life becomes one royal mess when he starts learning the 'mannerisms' of both the religions simultaneously.

During a sudden turn of events, Dharampal accidentally attracts the backlash of Muslims who come out to attack him. Having left with no other options, he reveals in front of everyone (including his family) that he is actually a Muslim by birth, which shocks and stuns everyone alike. The revelation results in his family abandoning him. When left all alone, he stumbles upon a startling truth about Neel Anand Baba, which changes the course of the film totally upside down! What was it about Neel Anand Baba forms rest of the film.

Performance wise Paresh Rawal is too good and shines again in lead role and Naseeruddin Shah manages to show his class despite limited screen time. Annu Kapoor is always good and over the top at times. Murli Sharma is decent, Alka and other girl are just fine in insignificant roles.

Film has interesting premise but screenplay dips big time in after initial half an hour plus resembles too many films (Paresh Rawal's past is borrowed from 'Zakhm', main prmeise of religion from 'Oh My God!' and so on). Film becomes predictable and finds very cliche uninteresting situations. Film has some really irritating songs. Art department is loud and editing is horrific especially in climax.

Director Fuwad Khan succeeds in keeping the balance between message and entertainment. He delivers a confident debut film though a more original subject and better screenplay would had made huge difference.

Film released today and should release across 800 screens. Film had no chances at box office despite there is so much competition from 'Ek Paheli Leela'. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.

BOX OFFICE REPORT CARD OF 1ST QUARTER OF 2015

There is a distinct trend and we can easily say that this trend will stay for a year or so for sure. We hope 2nd quarter will see big hits in ''Dil Dhadakane Do'', ''Gabbar'', ''Bombay Velvet'' and ''Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani'' otherwise distributors and exhibitors will continue to suffer.

Box Office Report Card Of 1st Quarter Of 2015, Industry Suffers And De-grows

Yesterday 1st quarter of 2015 ended and overall box office scenario remained very gloomy. 2014 was not a great year at box office and there was no growth in overall business as box office business fell by 5%. This year has taken even poorer start and business has further fell by 25% from last year.

There was back to back distinct growth in 2012 and 2013 over previous years but 2014 was bad and it seems that 2015 will be as bad as 2014. First big release ''Tevar'' tanked and then despite exceptional reviews, ''Baby'' remained average to semi hit. Not a single 100 cr nett film and only couple of hits which are more due to low budget than big business.

''Badlapur'', ''NH 10'' and ''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'' emerged as success but all were cheap films in terms of budget. All were critical acclaimed and not a single massy film managed decent biz.
