Asked about it,  Dhariwal confirmed that there was an unpleasant exchange of remarks between him and the actor after Sunny suggested that in case of non-payment the film should be released under his banner Vijeta Films.

YRF Defeats Ajay Devgn Films In Court Case Over Last Year Diwali Clash

The Competition Tribunal dismissed the appeal filed by Ajay Devgn Films (ADF) against the order of the Competition Commission exactly a year since 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' released on November 13, 2012.

The Competition Tribunal dismissed the appeal filed by Ajay Devgn Films (ADF) against the order of the Competition Commission exactly a year since 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' released on November 13, 2012.

After the Competition Commission had dismissed the complaint filed by ADF on the basis that they were of the opinion that there was no contravention of the Act in this case, the Competition Appellate Tribunal, in a order of November 8, 2012, also refused to pass any interim order against Yash Raj Films (YRF) on the ground that the complainant had not put forward sufficient facts to establish that YRF had violated the Competition Act.

According to a YRF spokesperson, a completely misleading press release was put out by ADF alleging that an enquiry had been set up to look into 'the anti-competitive activities of YRF' since the Competition Appellate Tribunal had not found any merit in the contention of ADF because the Tribunal was of the view that ADF had totally failed to establish that the agreements entered into by YRF with the single screens cinemas would cause any appreciable adverse effect on competition. It was also noted by the Tribunal that YRF had announced the release of its film on June 27, 2011 with its announcement of the release of its film for Diwali 2012 and commenced booking of single screen theatres in June, July & Aug 2012. On the contrary, ADF announced the release of its film only on May 29, 2012 and approached the single screen owners only in October 2012 by which time YRF had taken a lead. It was expressly noted that the number of screens contracted for 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', being far less than that of 'Ek Tha Tiger', prima facie no case of adverse effect on competition, much less appreciable effect on competition, was made out.

Despite several media queries at that time, YRF had maintained a strict media silence while the matter was pending before the competent judicial authorities, deeming it inappropriate to comment on the matter while it was before the judicial authorities. YRF has never desired nor manipulated such unethical publicity as a film promotional device for itself.

It is unfortunate that our refusal to comment had led to aspersions being cast on YRF's business practices, which have always been ethical and of the highest standards.

On November 13, 2013, after considering and dismissing individually all the points raised by the Appellant, ADF, the Honourable Chairman, Justice V. S. Sirpurkar and the other Honourable Members of the Coram, Shri Rahul Sarin & Mrs. Pravin Tripathi, concluded that "there is no merit in this appeal and this appeal must be dismissed".

KRRISH 3 Children’s Day Ticket Offer Cancelled?

Rakesh Roshan and the ‘Krrish 3’ team had earlier planned to make Children's Day special for the fans. And as per a report, ticket rates were to be slashed on Children's Day

Rakesh Roshan and the ‘Krrish 3’ team had earlier planned to make Children's Day special for the fans. And as per a report, ticket rates were to be slashed on Children's Day.

However, we have now learnt that the distributors and the exhibitors for the film failed to arrive at a consensus to reduce ticket prices for children’s day.

An executive of a multiplex chain in Mumbai disclosed - "There was a proposal to bring down the ticket rates of ‘Krrish 3’ on Children's Day. But November 14 also happens to be Moharram. We didn't want to lose out on holiday crowds for ‘Krrish 3’ a day before the release of ‘Ram-Leela’ when we expect a fall in footfalls for ‘Krrish 3’ anyway. So all fiscal relief for Children's Day stands cancelled."

Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan has come forward and denied reports about the reduction in ticket prices. He said - "The distributors are working out a scheme for Children's Day. But we haven't decided what the scheme would be. Children's Day happens to coincide with Moharram this year, so it's a holiday. We'll soon make an announcement."

Amitabh Bachchan Refused To Lend Voice For Animated Mahabharat?

As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan had refused to lend his voice to Bheeshma Pitamaha, the character who plays a pivotal role in the Hindu mythology ‘Mahabharat’

As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan had refused to lend his voice to Bheeshma Pitamaha, the character who plays a pivotal role in the Hindu mythology ‘Mahabharat’. Apparently, the reason stated was that the actor did not want to be working for a cartoon project.  The animated version of Mahabharat is being made by Jayantilal Gada from PEN.

Jayantilal Gada revealed - "Bachchan rejected the idea. He had said, 'Mujhe cartoon mat banao.' So we decided to make a dummy film for him and it took us two years to do that. When he saw the film, he instantly agreed to be the voice and face of Bheeshma Pitamaha. The dummy film was shown to all the actors and they were also impressed."

Asked about the making of the film, Gada revealed - "I have been wanting to make Mahabharat. It is such a big subject, with so many layers to it. Since we decided to make an animation film, we thought it would be nice if each character has a face that people can identify and are familiar with and instantly connect.”

Other actors such as Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Vidya Balan and Ajay Devgn have also lent their voices for the film and reportedly, none of the stars have charged a single penny for the project.

After the mega success of ‘Krrish 3’ the whole team is gearing up for what a part of the film's core team describes as the "bash of the century."

Says the source, "It would be the mother of all parties. Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan want to celebrate not just the success of Krrish 3 but their unbroken string of successes over the years. Everyone who is someone from the field of entertainment, sports and politics would attend."

Coincidentally, ‘Chennai Express’ bash was recently planned by a television channel out of the blue.

According to a source, "There was no occasion for the celebration. High TRP ratings for the television premiere of ‘Chennai Express’ toh party ka bahaana tha. Actually it's a show of strength at a time when Krrish 3 opened much bigger than expected and went on to join the 100-crore club in the first 5 days."

About Krrish 3 overtaking ‘Chennai Express’ at the box office, Rakesh Roshan says, "I am not in competition with any other film. Let the merit of my film speak for itself."

Shahrukh Khan To Play Thief In HAPPY NEW YEAR

Various sections of media have been guessing the storyline of Farah Khan's directorial venture 'Happy New Year'. According to reports, it is believed that SRK is going to play a thief for the first time in this movie.

Various sections of media have been guessing the storyline of Farah Khan's directorial venture 'Happy New Year'. According to reports, it is believed that SRK is going to play a thief for the first time in this movie.

The cast of the movie also involves Abhishek Bachchan as Tinku, Boman Irani as Tom and Sonu Sood as Jerry, who will be Magiha's gang i.e. Shah Rukh's gang members. Unlike its name, the movie will be a thriller, a genre that is completely new for Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan has always been a romantic hero among the Indian audiences. Now, the Badshah of Bollywood has gone forward and is ready to take this challenge of playing a thief in his next movie 'Happy New Year'.

Interestingly, our Bollywood lead heroes have dared to play antagonist on screen, without any fear of losing their fan following. It all started with 'Dhoom' franchise, which made sure that it does not have a typical villain to play the thief. From John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and now Aamir is set to don the cap of a thief in the latest sequel of 'Dhoom'.

As a perfectionist, he has left no stone unturned to make sure that he gives the best of himself. There has been news of about his rigorous training sessions, diet plans, look and a lot more. Of course, since Aamir is also playing the thief in Dhoom 3, a comparison between him and SRK will be unavoidable.

Lets' see what the critics would have to say after the romantic heroes, who are always portrayed as law-abiding heroes of the society, try their first role where they are on the other side of the table.

Television reality show "Bigg Boss 7" is well known for its catfights among contestants and string of controversies Now, actor Shah Rukh Khan has taken things to the next level with a similar move against the show's host Salman Khan.

Salman has been under scanner for extending his support to contestant Tanisha and reprimanding Kushal for his behaviour. This has not gone down with the masses as many were seen voicing their disgust at Salman's partial decision.

One social networking user posted on Twitter, "I am @iamsrk fan but I used 2 respect sk (Salaman Khan) but now he has lost it @bigb0sssath7."

The post like many others would have gone unnoticed until Shah Rukh himself supported the tweet. This immediately caught the media's attention and created quite a stir.

When confronted of his favouring the post, Shah Rukh said, There is no such incident." He further blamed it on his new phone saying, "Since it's my new phone, the button might have accidentally got clicked," reported Zoom TV.

Whether SRK's move was due to his unsettled animosity with Salman or because of the star's partiality is yet to be ascertained.

Salman, too, in recent episodes has been seen justifying himself when it came to his support for Tansiha. His actions have raised eyebrows since he is well known for his nonchalant attitude.

Whatever be the case,  Shahrukh's untimely act managed to draw the spotlight yet again on the salam-SRK rivalry, whcih has alaways been the talking point of tinsel town.

Hrithik's KRRISH 3 In Copyright Issue

Uday Singh Rajput, a Madhya Pradesh based scriptwriter, has accused that the makers of ‘Krrish 3' have violated copyrights. Rajput claims that he wrote the script for the movie but wasn’t given credit for it

Uday Singh Rajput, a Madhya Pradesh based scriptwriter, has accused that the makers of ‘Krrish 3′ have violated copyrights. Rajput claims that he wrote the script for the movie but wasn’t given credit for it. He has claimed that the entire credit was wrongly given to Robin Bhatt.

The petitioner has come forward and even claimed that he had registered his script titled ‘Krrish 2’ with the Film Writers Association on July 23, 2008. Later on, he met Roshan and gave him the script, for which he was not given any payment, even after the script was used.

On the whole issue, Advocate Rekha Mehta, commented - “We wrote to Roshan and demanded he give us due credit, but there was no positive response from their side. Thus we moved the high court seeking a compensation of Rs 2 crore and as interim relief, sought an injunction on the release of the film, scheduled to be released on November 1.”

Roshan’s company has also filed a suit asking that the release of the film not be interrupted.
