Saqib Saleem, who has been garnering appreciation for his performances in “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” and “Bombay Talkies”, is now ready to play the lead role in Amole Gupte s next directorial venture “Hawaa Hawaai”.
Saqib Saleem, who has been garnering appreciation for his performances in “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” and “Bombay Talkies”, is now ready to play the lead role in Amole Gupte s next directorial venture “Hawaa Hawaai”.
The actor plays a skating coach in the film and has got himself trained for the role. Besides hitting the gym to look athletic, Saqib has begun to learn roller skating from scratch. Saqib syas that he had watched “Stanley Ka Dabba” and wanted to be a part of Gupte s kind of cinema.
Amole wanted to make this film immediately after he worked closely with
Aamir Khan on “Taare Zameen Par”. But since the role required a large number of children to be trained in roller-skating
and also a leading man who could look convincing as their coach, Amole
put the project on hold and made “Stanley Ka Dabba” first.
This is the story of how a bunch of kids are brought together for a roller skating tournament.
Amole Gupte s very talented son Partho who stole innumerable hearts in
“Stanley Ka Dabba” would be playing a pivotal role in the film. The
film is slated to release on April 18, 2014.
