Reportedly, Mukerji has walked out of Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Begum Samru' citing the age-old “date problems”
It appears like Rani Mukerji has said no to what could have been
a career defining role. Reportedly, Mukerji has walked out of Tigmanshu
Dhulia's 'Begum Samru' citing the age-old “date problems”.
News is now coming in that Tigmanshu is in talks with Kareena Kapoor for the role of a warrior princess
in the aforementioned movie. Earlier, Chitrangada Singh, who has
experimented with such offbeat roles had expressed her desire to play
the character of Begum Samru on screen.
'Begum
Samru' is based on the life of Samru, who started her career as a
nautch girl in 18th Century India and went on to become the ruler
of Sardhana, a principality near Meerut. She also played a key role in
the political power struggle in 18th and 19th century India.
It remains to be seen whether Rani would regret her decision of refusing Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Begum Samru' .
