The Independence Day next year is set to see one of the biggest clashes at box office ever. News is that Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Saif Ali Khan and Ajay Devgn starrers are slated to release on the same day at box office, setting an unprecedented showdown.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's “Gabbar” starring Akshay, Kabir Khan's next with Saif Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty's “Singham 2” with Ajay Devgn and Ekta-Karan's joint venture with Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor, are scheduled to release on next Independence Day. Interestingly, three out of these four films are Action flicks.

Sources reveal that Ajay had called Ekta and offered to support her when “Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara” was not getting enough screens, owing to the “Chennai Express” juggernaut. However, this time, the two are all set to lock the horns at the box office not only with each other but with Rohit Shetty again.

Everyone knows that everyone gets harmed when big releases compete with each other at the box office like in case of “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” and “Son of Sardar”but the big question is who will first.

According to industry insiders, neither Bhansali nor Kabir Khan or Rohit Shetty usually move their release dates once announced. So that leaves the ball in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's court who have previously moved their releases to accommodate requests from the film fraternity. But the question is Will Ekta Kapoor push her film DOBAARA on Karan’s insistence after what happened to “Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!” and that too for Rohit Shetty again?
