A
leading multiplex has taken an advanced step in offering a holistic
entertainment experience for its patrons. PVR pictures would be allowing
its customers to book tickets for big releases up to three months in advance, though for a hefty fee.
The movie ticket booked through the special advanced booking system would now cost up to Rs 1500. Tickets for big budget films like ‘Besharam’, ‘Ram Leela’, and ‘Dhoom 3’ have already been made available for advanced booking at PVR Cinemas.
Asked about it, Kamal Gianchandani, President PVR pictures commented - "Movie watching is an impulsive decision that usually happens 2-3 days before the release. With pre-booking,
the audience can escape the last minute scramble and it is also an
advantage for us. It helps us gauge the preference of the audience
towards a film and the right numbers of shows can be allotted taking
into account the demand for it."
