Bollywood films have disappointed and no big films made impact in last 6 months except ''PK''. This year not a single mainstream masala Bollywood film worked and to make situation worse Hollywood biggies ''Fast & Furious 7'' and ''Avengers Age Of Ultron'' over-performed. And if that was not enough, now regional cinema has started making waves at box office in big way.
''Timepass 2'' has opened with wide release in Maharastra and this kind of release coupled with holiday on Friday means that film will score big. And that is what film did with almost 90% occupancy throughout the day and even metros were solid. Film dented other new releases in big way.
Film collected 3.75 cr nett on day one and it broke records of big Bollywood releases in smaller centers and cinemas. Film had super Saturday and collected 3 cr nett. Film has now highest opening day and will have highest opening weekend too.
