DUM LAGA KE HAISHA Is Approaching 30 Cr Nett By End Of 5th Week
Yash Raj films had some terrible time at box office with ''''Kill Dil'''' and ''''Daawat E Ishq'''' in last few months. What their biggies failed to achieve, a small film has done in a jiffy. ''''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'''' was not expected to make mark but it surprised one and all.
''''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'''' had limited release in 789 screens as makers YRF are confident that film will grow with word of mouth and that is what happened. Film released after Ayushmann Khurrana had given some big duds in ''''''''Hawaizaada'''''''' and ''''''''Bewakoofiyan''''''''. It was a now or never kind of moment for him and luckily film has worked at box office.
Film took a poor start all over due to no big promotions and no big star cast. Film got glowing reviews and word of mouth was on positive side. Film collected only 1.11 cr nett on opening day but with big jumps over weekends, film collected 6 cr nett. Film finished week one around 10.65 cr nett.
Film got no big competition in 2nd week and considering such a good word of moth, film was expected to score big at box office. Film did that despite cricket match and Holi festivities. Film collected higher total over 2nd weekend and collected 10.05 cr nett in 2nd week which was very good and just 5% drop from week one.
Film started 3rd week on good note and collected 3 cr nett over weekend despite competition from ''''''''NH 10''''''''. Film remained steady on weekdays and collected 5.10 cr nett plus in 3rd week. Film has drop of only 50% from 2nd week which is good considering competition from similar sort of multiplex film.
Film started 4th week with lesser number of screens but still film managed very good 1.50 cr nett in 4th weekend followed by steady weekdays. Film added 2.37 cr nett in 4th week which was again less than 55% drop from 3rd week.

Now film has collected 29.96 cr nett in 35 days and it seems that it will reach 30 cr nett lifetime. Sleeper hit!
