Since starting out in the showbiz industry nine years ago, Deepika has worked with the biggest names in Bollywood, appeared in 24 movies so far and endorses a number of brands such as Tissot worldwide.
Fame is not alien to Deepika and her family though as her father, former Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone, became the first Indian to win the All England Championship in 1980 and has also won the Danish and Swedish Open among others.
Movies was another territory altogether for her though.
