The pre natal sex determination case against Shah Rukh Khan and his wife might fall flat as the BMC has reported to the court that the allegations framed by Varsha Deshpande were wrong and the couple have not violated the rules of Prohibition of Sex Selection Act at all.

Shah Rukh and Gauri, who have been married for over two decades were blessed with a third child, a son named AbRam who was born on 27th May. The social activist claimed that the couple carried out tests to find out the sex of the child before his birth, which is banned by law in the country.

BMC’s counsel M.P Rao informed the court that the Corporation had done a thorough investigation of the issue and has found Varsha’s claims baseless. The court had previously sent notices to the couple as well as Dr Firuza Parikh who was the doctor involved in the surrogacy. The High Court has adjourned the case’s hearing assigning t to a later date!
