Shiamak Davar Accused For Sexual Abuse
Choreographer Shiamak Davar has been accused for sexual abuse by his former dance students Percy Shroff and Jimmy Mistry. However, the choreographer denies the allegations.

Choreographer Shiamak Davar has been accused for sexual abuse by his former dance students Percy Shroff and Jimmy Mistry. However, the choreographer denies the allegations.
Percy and Jimmy from North Vancouver, say they suffered years of unwanted sexual touching at the hands of Shiamak, who they say, abused his authority as their spiritual leader to control all aspects of their lives.
They have said that the choreographer is a sexually abusive and controlling leader of a VRRP Spiritual Learning group. Two lawsuits have been filed in the Canadian province of British Columbia Supreme Court.
Denying the allegations, Shiamak said, "I’m shocked by these allegations and deny them completely. I will not be intimidated into silence and will defend myself vigorously in court."
"Even though I’m extremely anxious to speak the truth, I have been advised not to do so publicly by my lawyer, David Crossin, as this matter is now before the court,” He added
He further said, "It is a privilege and honour for me to continue the work of my spiritual teacher, Khorshed Bhavnagri".
VRRP follows the teachings of Bhavnagari, who wrote ‘The Laws of the Spirit World’.
"It is my position, as filed in my response, that these claims are being made by former members of VRRP Spiritual Learning to simply smear Mrs. Bhavnagri’s good name and her wonderful book ‘The Laws of the Spirit World’. I would like members of VRRP Spiritual Learning to be rest assured that I will continue to serve the book and its teachings,” Shiamak said.

The lawyer who represented Aamir, said, “Except the movie there is no evidence that there has been killing of Chinkara. There has to be some legal evidence to book someone. Except a scene from the movie there is no proof in the complaint that Chinkara was shot.”
“The entire allegation is based upon a scene of the film “Lagaan” which cannot, by any stretch of imagination, be said to be a legal evidence of possession of the animal in question viz Chinkara,” one of the previous court orders stated.

We all know that Salman Khan’s jail term has been suspended by High Court. But, one cannot forget that he was convicted by session court. So, the questions which have been raised are that will brands still associate with the superstar and will the brands survive.

Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar said, “Brands will survive. (For those associated) There might a miniscule drop in sales, but the ad world has a rather short memory. If one ambassador doesn’t work out, there will always be a replacement. In rare cases few brands may approach him after his jail-stint, thanks to the publicity it will garner.”
Piyush Pandey of Ogilvy & Mather said, “No brand will want to be associated with a convicted person. When someone messes up in the public eye, brands drop them. This has happened in the case of Tiger Woods and Oscar Pistorius. The brands themselves won’t really get affected.”
Venkat Jagdish, Managing Director of OTS Advertising, said, “Salman and his PR team have managed to create quite an image in the public eye. His ‘Being Human’ might have started off as a clothing company, but it soon developed into a CSR activity of sorts. This created a good image of the star and that could be a reason why things might not get that bad for Salman. For brands to survive, they only need to disconnect themselves from an ambassador and hire a new one.”

2014 proved to be a bad year at box office for Bollywood and that is why there was great hope from 2015. But even this year has started on sluggish note and not a single film has got clean hit status yet.
'Roy' scored at box office on its opening day as film collected 10 cr nett plus though it dropped badly later with rather average weekend of 28.68 cr nett. 'Baby' opened well and had very good weekend of 36 cr nett riding on good reviews.
'Badlapur' had rather good opening day at 7 cr nett and went on to collect 23.50 cr nett over weekend despite adversely affected by CRICKET match on Sunday. This was good considering adult content. 'Ek Paheli Leela' had good opening day but film failed miserably due to bad content over weekend with below par number of 15.85 cr nett. 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' had similar fate with 14 cr nett weekend. Emraan Hashmi continued to deliver disasters with 13.99 cr nett weekend. The short film has been titled as 'Skin Deep' and it is helmed by Vikramaditya’s assistant, Hardik Mehta. It is part of ‘Chaar Cutting’, a collection of four short films.
The short film revolves around the trials and tribulations of a young couple after the guy undergoes circumcision. The short film stars Aditi Vasudev and Naveen Kasturia.
Debutant director Hardik said, "We have touched upon a topic that is still considered a taboo in our society. Vikramaditya has given the story a quirky twist."

Today two films ''Piku'' and ''Kuch Kuch Locha Hai'' are releasing of diverse genre.
''Piku'' is produced by Sony MSM and distributed by Yash Raj Films. Film released in 1600 - 1800 screens and it has opened to glowing reviews and decent occupancy. Film is solid in metros especially in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Film has opening of 35% and it seems that with good word of mouth, film can score very good day one around 5 cr nett and it can go higher depending on evening shows.

Film released under 1000 screens and going by the competition at box office, film will find it tough to collect even 2 cr nett on day one.
