Chetan Bhagat’s 'Revolution 2020' To Be Made In To A Film

Chetan Bhagat’s latest bestseller ‘Revolution 2020’ will be adapted in a movie and will be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta

After adapting ‘Hello’ (based on One Night @ The Call Center), ‘3 Idiots’ (based on Five Point Someone) and ‘Kai Po Che’ (based on The Three Mistakes Of My Life) Chetan Bhagat’s latest bestseller ‘Revolution 2020’ will be adapted in a movie and will be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.

Revolution 2020 is an intense story of three childhood friends — Gopal, Raghav and Aarti and its largely set in the city of Varanasi.

The author is surely excited with the development, "It is an intense love story set against the backdrop of corruption in the education sector, which affects millions across the country. I can't wait for the three characters to be cast and brought to life," says Chetan Bhagat.

Commenting on his decision to direct the movie, Raj Kumar says, "When I read the novel, I was quite moved. It is a very simple and heartfelt story about being young, being confused, being in love, getting corrupt... I am looking forward to writing and directing this book for the screen."

Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV was excited to get Chetan and Raj Kumar together. Now let’s wait and watch who gets selected to play the lead roles.

2nd Day Saturday Box Office Collection Of WARNING

"Warning" failed to get that big jump on Saturday after disastrous opening on Friday and that leaves little for the film at box office in days to come. Film failed miserably even in 3D version.

Film collected 0.75 cr nett on day one followed by 0.95 cr nett on Saturday which was a jump of only 20%. What film needed was jump in range of 70-80% something similar what "The Lunchbox" had last week.

Film will finish with 2.75 cr nett weekend business and lifetime figure of 3.5-4 cr nett which is a shame.
